There are a large number of adult fitness sessions throughout the week for all age groups. Early morning swimming starts at 6.00am, the Noontide club swims at lunchtime on weekdays, and there are some 15 other morning, afternoon and evening sessions amounting to 16 hours per week.The unique club structure of swimming at the City Baths is very much appreciated by the members.� They are able to choose a group of similar age group and similar abilities and goals, and swimmers know that when they come they will not be inconvenienced by a public session and that there will be a limited number of swimmers to a lane.The configuration of the pools permits a high degree of privacy, which has encouraged the West Cheshire Multicultural Women�s Group to have 2 hours swimming every week, whereby no males are allowed on the poolside.There is also a valuable social dimension, whereby swimmers all know one another and often meet socially after their sessions.� Many swimmers have been coming for many years and enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere.All this is provided at a very affordable cost, with pool hire charges ranging from 12 to 18 per hour.In the course of the week there are also 4 adult learn to swim classes run by experienced, qualified teachers, one of whom is world Masters champion Brenda Walker. These classes cater for everyone from non-swimmers to confident improvers.Finally, there are 4 family sessions specifically designed for parents and children to enjoy the water, and almost every weekend the pool and cafe are hired for childrens parties.
