Sport Relief Press Statement

John Stockton, Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Weaver Vale, ran three miles round Chester Racecourse on Sunday, 21 March to raise funds for Sport Relief.

John, pictured here on the right with his friend Luke Hogan, said that he was delighted to take part in the run for Sport Relief because it raises valuable funds for worthwhile causes.

John took part in the fun run with 100s of other people in Chester and it was an excellent way to raise money and stay fit at the same time. All the money raised by him and others is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world’s poorest countries.

John says, “And it's not too late to make a difference, people can log on to the Sport Relief website and donate now. Please do so and help to make the lives of people living unimaginably difficult lives that much better.”
