Wedding Open Day
7th and 14th January 2012
At the Wedding Open Day you can find out about the different wedding packages the racecourse, view function rooms dressed for a wedding, and explore the grounds, on-site hotel and 1539 Restaurant and Bar. 
Our wedding co-ordinator will be on hand to discuss what you want from your big day.
 
There's no need to book, but we recommend you make an appointment with the wedding co-ordinator to ensure they are free.

County Stand
All Inclusive Party Nights
Our all-inclusive party nights begin with a reception drink on arrival and include a delicious three-course choice menu and a selection of unlimited bar drinks, followed by coffee and chocolates.
You can dance until the early hours with our magnificent live band and resident DJ.
Charity casino and party games will make for a night to remember. Bar open until 1.00am,carriages at 1.30am.
Our selection of unlimited bar drinks include house wines (red, white and rosé), draughtlager, bitter and stout. A selection of bottled lagers and alcopops, ciders, soft drinks and house spirits. Take advantage of our ‘shots bar’offering a wide selection of drinks for just £1.00 each, to include; Tequila, Sambuca,Aftershock and Sourz.
 
Executive Box
All Inclusive Spectacular Party Nights
The perfect way to party for groups of ten to forty guests, our Executive Box packagesinclude canapés and sparkling reception drink on arrival, delicious three-course choice menu, plus complimentary bar, followed by coffee and chocolates.
After dining, your party is invited to join the festivities in the County Stand where the bars are also complimentary.
This is a very popular package so please book early to avoid disappointment, as there are only a limited number of boxes available each night.  Bar open until 1.00am, carriages at 1.30am.
 
Leverhulme Stand

The Leverhulme Stand, with it's unique location overlooking the whole racecourse, is the perfect choice to hold an exclusive celebration. Festively decorated for Christmas and New Year, it promises families, friends, clubs, societies and work groups an unforgettable party.

Back by popular demand, our fantastic singer Paul Pashley will entertain during dinner, followed by our resident DJ. Carriages at 1.00am.
 
Starlit Marquee
Our stunning Starlit Marquee, based within the paddock at the heart of the racecourse is available for large parties throughout the festive season. Catering for up to 1,000 people, this facility offers a private drinks reception area, choice menu, and private entertainment suite.

Betting bars and catering

There are numerous open air and covered bars, catering services and betting facilities in all areas of the Racecourse. Personal stocks of food and drink, including alcohol, are not permitted in any enclosure other than the Open Course. Alcohol is only permitted in the Open Course area for personal consumption. Private stocks of alcohol are not permitted in any other area of the course. In the County Stand, the Tattersalls Stand and the Paddock area, the consumption of all drink, including alcohol, is restricted to designated areas. In the County Stand Long Room seating area, no drinks are permitted, except on certain racedays.

Booking deadlines and expected sell out time scale

Annual Members' badges and County Stand badges for the May Festival Thursday and Friday are likely to sell out in January. We would like to advise Annual Members wishing to purchase extra County Stand badges that availability cannot be guaranteed after 31st December.

Car Parking

Car parking is on the Open Course and only for cars with a car pass. Car passes can be purchased in advance from the ticket office or from pay lane booths on race days. On Sunday Funday only, car parking will be operated on a first come first served basis.

Children

Children accompanied by an adult, below the age of 16 are admitted free of charge to all stands and enclosures for all fixtures.

Coach Parking

Coach parking is available on the Little Roodee, next to the Racecourse, for all fixtures apart from the May Festival when parking is available at Saddlery Way. This is only for coaches with a coach pass. Passes must be purchased in advance from the ticket office. The Little Roddee is a 10-minute walk from the Watergate Square main entrance to the Racecourse. Coaches must not drop off outside the Racecourse. A coach pass costs £15.

Dogs

Dogs (except aide dogs) are not allowed into the course on racedays.

Dress Code

Customers in the County Stand Long Room and Concourse and in all hospitality and restaurant facilities, are required to observe a strict dress code. Gentlemen are required to wear a suit jacket, collar and tie, Ladies are required to wear smart dress and no Denim or Trainers allowed. The Racecourse reserves the right to prohibit racegoers who are incorrectly dressed from entering designated areas.

First Aid

First Aid posts are situated in the Open Course near to the main Paddock Entrance at the far end of the Parade Ring, on the Open Course and in the Dee Stand. The main Medical Centre is located behind the Leverhulme Stand in the Director´s Car Park.

Helicopters

For helicopter landing facilities, please call Chester Race Company on 01244 304 610 or for light aircraft landing facilities, please call Air Traffic Control on 01244 522 012/3. Helicopters are not allowed to land on the course on the following racedays: Saturday 27th June and Sunday 2nd August.

Lost or stolen Badges or Tickets

Unfortunately, these cannot be replaced. Please ensure your badge / ticket is kept safe at all times. 

Refunds and Cancelations

Chester Race Company Ltd cannot refund tickets or hospitality reservations for which payment has already been received. Refunds will only be made in the event that racing is abandoned. 

Picnics

Families are welcome to bring picnics to the Open Course during race meetings.

Security Checks of Tickets and Badges

All tickets and badges will be barcode scanned on entry. Numbers on metal badges issued to Annual Members will also be recorded on entry.

Senior Citizens & Students

Discounted tickets are available to Senior Citizens and NUS Cardholders (on proof of identity). These tickets allow a £5 discount on Tattersalls tickets and a £2 discount on Dee and Open Course tickets. Please note, this is subject to availability on the race day itself. It is not possible to benefit from this discount on tickets purchased in advance.

Smoking Policy

To create a comfortable environment for all of our racegoers, a smoking ban will be implemented in all of Chester Racecourse's enclosed public spaces on race days.
