Chester Rocks is BACK!
This year it's bigger and better than ever before with an unmissable line up.
After performing at the very first Chester Rocks, The Wanted are back to headline on Saturday 15th June. The boys have been at the top of the music scene for 3 years now and in the last 12 months have smashed onto the American music scene and recently won a coveted 'People's Choice' Award. This will be your first chance to see their full concert this summer.
Special guests on the Saturday are Union J! The boys are currently performing to sold out arenas across the UK as part of the X Factor live tour. Their first major summer show will be Chester Rocks - so make sure you don't miss out!
JESSIE J HEADLINES 16TH JUNE
Jessie J is quite simply one of the leading female vocalists of our generation - and she's headlining Chester Rocks on Sunday 16th June!
2012 was a massive year for Jessie J as she performed at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert and the closing ceremony of the Olympics along with festivals across the UK and Europe. With a sell out tour scheduled for later this year, Chester Rocks is one of your first chances to see Jessie live this year.
Special guests, Lawson, have already supported Jessie during some of her 2012 shows. With three top ten singles and a top five album they are a brilliant band live, who, if you haven't seen yet, you really need to!
The Vamps appearing on Saturday June 15th and Amelia Lily on Sunday June 16th.
• The Vamps are the latest boy-band sensation combining singing talent with genuine musical skills. Bradley Will Simpson, James McVey and Tristan Evans will be playing for the Chester crowd and adding to their fast growing popularity. They’ll be lining up with The Wanted and Union J on the Saturday.
• X-Factor finalist Amelia smashed into the charts last year with her first single “You Bring Me Joy”. Her much-anticipated new album will be released shortly before her appearance at Chester Rocks. She’ll be joining Lawson and Jessie J in a vibrant line-up for the Sunday.
Chester Rocks, the two-day music event that is bringing the best pop talent in the UK to Chester. On Saturday 15th June chart topper A*M*E and rising star Ollie Marland will be performing while on Sunday 16th recent top ten chart artist Charlie Brown will be appearing along with one of the liveliest acts in the UK - pop-ska band Scarlett's Roses.
Chester Rocks already includes The Wanted, Union J and The Vamps on Saturday, with Jessie J, Lawson and Amelia Lily featuring on Sunday.
Richard Thomas, Chief Executive of Chester Racecourse, says:

A*M*E, whose vocals featured on Duke Dumont's Number One hit “Need U (100%)”, has already expressed her excitement about appearing at Chester Racecourse with one word: "Whoop!"
Ollie Marland, who is being tipped for chart success, has a real vocal range that has overwhelmed music industry insiders and has created a huge following in his native Staffordshire.
Charlie Brown is a talented songwriter who has penned tunes for Jay Sean and the Script and has recently made his first chart breakthrough hitting the top ten with 'On The Day'.
Echoes of the brilliant tunes of 2-Tone, Ska and Reggae highlight the musical talent that is Scarlett's Roses, who are set to have major impact in the charts and thrill audiences with their vibrant live performances

Lanyard Pocket Guide: When you get your wristband, make sure you also grab one of the pocket guides on a handy lanyard. It includes maps and line-up details that will be invaluable resources during the event.
Be an Early Bird: With thousands attending, there will be a race to the concert front, make sure you arrive 15 minutes early to each act.
Take Advantage of Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare: We will be offering real-time updates throughout the festival! Look out for the hashtag #ChesterRocks.
Dress Appropriately: British weather is unpredictable – come prepared with layers of clothing as the evenings may get cold! Sensible shoes are a must too! Remember there are no pass-outs back to your vehicle for that forgotten jumper!
Bring Earplugs: Sure, standing next to the speakers to get your favourite song drilled into your brain is cool; however you may get temporary hearing loss, so come prepared with a set of earplugs for safety.
Medication: If you take any medication for any illnesses make sure you have enough to last you throughout your stay – also make sure you alert the Racecourse Box Office if you need any assistance during the festival before the 16th and 17th June (01244 304 610).
Recharge yourself: As you stand waiting for the next act, don’t forget to re-hydrate yourself and eat some food. We have a fantastic range of food on-site and free (tap) water too!
Bring enough cash: There are no pass-outs for Chester Rocks, so come prepared with enough money to last you all day for food, drink and the entertainment. There will be an ATM on site throughout the weekend – please note there will be a surcharge for each transaction.
Keep it Green: Please respect the environment and use the bins provided.
Need help: If you are stuck at any point of the weekend, look out for an official steward or member of staff wearing the Chester Rocks ‘STAFF’ t-shirt.
