 at The Rake (Pub/Restaurant), Rake Lane, Little Stanney, near Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH2 4HS Welcome to The Hungry Horse Acoustic Folk Club! held every Thursday commencing at 8-15pm in the warm and friendly club room in the first floor function room of The Rake Pub (click here for directions) The atmosphere is superb with the main room entered via a delightful archway, the room is set out in cabaret style with candlelit tables and ornate table coverings and free peanuts provided on each table and on sell out concert nights the room is laid out in auditorium style (capacity 100)  John and Angela Owen are the organisers together with a very supportive group of helpers who are all part of the team ****** 1st and 3rd Thursdays are usually designated as Special Guest/s Nights see Diary of Events for details and ticket prices of national and international acts coming up or click on the underlined artists names below on all other Thursdays admission is FREE to our popular Singers & Musicians Nights when you can join in a relaxed and friendly session! how to find us... we are located at The Rake (Pub/Restaurant), Rake Lane, Little Stanney, near Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH2 4HS Only two minutes drive from the large Cheshire Oaks Retail Outlet Village. There is a Caravan Club Site immediately next door to the pub. It is also half an hours drive into the city centre of Liverpool along the M53 motorway and a ten minute drive in the opposite direction into the wonderful Roman city of Chester.
Directions - from junction 10, M53 motorway, take the A5117 towards Queensferry, approximately two hundred yards after the Cheshire Oaks Village roundabout turn left into the second road on your left which is Rake Lane and is signposted with a brown "The Rake" signpost. The Rake Pub/Restaurant is approximately 200 yards along on the left.
