Guided tours of the Library are available on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Tuesday of each month at 11.00 a.m. Places are limited so booking is recommended in order to guarantee a place. The cost of the tour is £5.00 per person to include a cup of tea or coffee and a guide book as well as the tour.

Following his acclaimed Sufi-inspired reading of John’s Gospel last year, Kalyan Dey turns his attention to the dominant New Testament figure of Paul. Exploring Pauline key texts Kalyan offers a distinctive, insightful and liberal reading of Paul’s writings that will challenge preconceptions. This short course will help you look at both Paul and his writings with fresh eyes.

Food at Gladstone's Library

Our Coffee Shop is open daily from 10.00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. If you haven't got to rush off after your tour, we serve a delicious lunch from 12.00 - 2.00 p.m. All our food is freshly prepared on-site by our chefs. The menu changes each day but a typical lunch menu would include homemade soup, two or three hot dishes including a vegetarian option, a selection of salads and hot or cold desserts. Tea, coffee, fruit juice and wine are also available. All are reasonably priced e.g. soup £3.30, main dishes £5.75, desserts £3.30.

They serve healthy meals catering for different dietary requirements and strive to use locally sourced, animal aware, organic and fairly traded (LOAF) produce wherever possible.

Our Coffee Shop, Food for Thought, has recently been refurbished and can now seat up to sixty people.

Stay at Gladstone's Library

Our comfortable accommodation comprises twenty-six bedrooms (singles, twin and doubles), most with ensuite facilities. All rooms have telephones, ISDN connections and tea/coffee making facilities. We have two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor which are suitable for wheelchair users. Wheelchair access is available into the building and throughout the ground floor.

Gladstone's Library has recently been awarded a four-star grading by Visit Wales.
