1936, County Donegal, Ireland. Amidst political and religious turmoil five unmarried sisters eke out a living in a tiny cottage on the outskirts of town.  As the festival of Lughnasa begins their way of life starts to unravel, and by winter nothing will ever be the same again.

Winner of the Olivier award for Best Play, Dancing at Lughnasa is a passionate and vivid portrait of loss and courage, the sisters’ frustration bursting forth into joyous, wild dancing and song.
