On Saturday 10th March , the prestigious Grosvenor Hotel and Spa in Chester plays host to Gorgeous Grub at the Grosvenor, a unique event featuring a four course meal designed and created by a celebrity chef, with all proceeds going to Winsford based charity The Neuromuscular Centre (reg charity no 1023606)
The NMC are very excited to announce that this year’s chef will be Oliver Rowe. Oliver is one of the most innovative of celebrity chefs, previously chef-proprietor of Konstam at the Prince Albert in King’s Cross. Known as ‘The Urban Chef’, he sourced ingredients only from within access of the London Underground.
After University, Oliver worked in restaurants in Italy and Greece, before coming back to London to train under Sam and Sam Clarke at Moro.
In 2004, Oliver set up a cafe serving European food, but when a former pub came up for sale across the road he set himself a new challenge by setting up a restaurant, sourcing all of his ingredients direct from local producers in the city itself. The BBC 2 programme 'The Urban Chef' charted his mission.
Oliver is creating a sensational menu especially for the event and will be on hand throughout the evening to talk to guests about his choice of ingredients and menu, share his knowledge of good food and fine wine and life as a leading chef.
Tickets for this event are priced at £69 per person and include a Bucks Fizz Reception on arrival, a four course meal with half a bottle of wine per person and port with the cheese course.
