Dyslexia Association | Print |

The BDA is the voice of dyslexic people. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society.

The BDA promotes early identification and support in schools to ensure opportunity to learn for dyslexic learners. We want to represent the needs of dyslexic people on leaving school, in higher education and in work. On Saturday 17 November 2007 at the BDA AGM Members agreed the policy on Early Identification of Specific Learning Difficulties. This is now BDA policy and will form the basis of BDA lobbying in this regard.

We also have a revised definition of dyslexia which was agreed by the BDA Management Board in October.
